The Education Council supports the University Board of Directors and the rector in advancing education, provides initiatives regarding education policy as well as initiatives for developing teaching, and evaluates the quality of University education. The Education Council also observes the progress of education strategy projects and discusses the need to develop teaching and how the strategic money should be targeted.
Courage, desire to influence, and the readiness to familiarize yourself with current educational policy trends is required of all student representatives. The Board of the Student Union will select the candidates presented to the rector. The candidates will be interviewed at the offices of the Student Union during week 47. The more precise timing of the interviews will be announced to those invited to an interview in the near future. Education Council works almost fully in English, so these positions very suitable for international students as well.
Your application should include, at the least, the following information: your major subject and the state of your studies, possible previous experiences on taking part in education development, and the most important themes you want to bring forward in the Education Council.
